Glossary of Terms

Scape  
The stem and flower head produced by hardneck (bolting) garlics.
Remove the scape when it has emerged to a stem length of 10cm to increase the bulb size of your garlic.

Clove
The individual segment of the garlic bulb, enclosed in its own protective skin.
Planting a clove will produce a full bulb at harvest time, under reasonable growing conditions.
