Blanak is a beautiful, rare cultivar of the Glazed Purple Stripe group, collected from the Czech Republic by Dr Boris Andrst.
The flavour of this garlic is rich, complex and hot, and the bulb skins, like other cultivars in this group, have a magical metallic sheen - fairytale garlic!
The plant displays good vigour, with natural disease resistance and is tolerant of a range of climates.
Stores for 6-8 months.
Remove scape to increase bulb size? Yes.
